The QTSPs are entities that issue qualified certificates in accordance with Regulation (EU) N. 910/2014 of the European Parliament.
In Italy, the reference regulation is the Article 29 of the CAD.
AgID supervise qualified trust service providers established in Italy through ex ante and ex post supervisory activities. AgID is also the national body responsible for establishing, maintaining and publishing national trusted lists.
QTSPs, in order to provide qualified trust services on the market, shall submit to AgID a notification of their intention together with a conformity assessment report issued by an accredited conformity assessment body (CAB).
For Italy, the accreditation body is Accredia.
AgID also publishes the list of trust service providers established in Italy, together with information on the services they provide.
